Creating Peace Begins At Home

“If I could bring relief to your stress filled days, the blessing it creates would be shared by all.”
Stress is an all too familiar feeling. A feeling that weighs upon our hearts and feels impossible to shake. However, neur0-scientist, Dr. Joe Dispenza, purports suffering caused by stress is not a natural condition. Rather it’s an altered state. Happiness, joy and enthusiasm are our natural states of being. So the question arises, can there be a reprieve from stress? Then what might that antidote be? In my conversations with clients the unspoken word in their hearts is peace. Peace is the antidote. Peace create the gateway ro wholeness. It is the balm that calms the minds and invites hope to the table.

Invoking peace through Feng Shui. If you’ve been shaken by recent world catastrophes; shocked by devastating actions that continue to spin out of control, begin with the energy in your home. It is your sanctuary and with the help of Feng Shui design you may begin to create a haven that has a positive influence on your family, with your neighbors and in the world.

Creating peace takes many forms. Ones you would never suspect. Creating peace has many levels and outreach: creating it in your life, world peace, in a household, amongst employees or peace on the streets in places where there is little peace. I composed an out-of-the-ordinary list to support you and those you love.

• Infusing a space with one of the three color systems raises it to a higher vibration for color can bring a listless room to life; a depressed person hope; it can make a sanctuary out of a stark environment. Color not only creates beauty but also peace. You could use the Five Element System (black, green, red, yellow white in this sequence), the Six True Words color system (white, red, yellow, green, blue, black in this order) or the rainbow color system (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple. This spectrum represents the endocrine system and the chakras – our link to the cosmos). Or use the color, green, because it is a peaceful color.

• Planting bamboo in your yard, in your community or in a place where there has been flooding or damage to the environment revitalizes the Ch’i. We need Ch”i to feel at peace. Bamboo, being both hollow and soft inside, symbolizes humility. “Hollow” in Chinese means “humble”. The Chinese would watch bamboo bow in the wind believing it had supernatural qualities that could soften a human’s heart.

• Imaging Quan Yin Shi Yin Pusa, the Goddess of Mercy, She Who Hears The Cries. Whether a painting or a statue, her presence will bring waves of peace wherever she rests.

• Hanging the 12 Chinese Zodiac Animals in your home can bring harmony into your space. Begin at the root of relationships. Go to the far right corner of your home. There you will find the Relationship gua. Placing the 12 Chinese Zodiac Animals here will bring harmony to your  relationships, creating peace in your life.

• Facing a wall while you stand at the stove could blind sight you or you may become easily frightened diminishing your peace of mind. When you don’t have command of the Ch’i, you could be taken advantaged of. Place a mirror so you see your image while you are facing the stove.

• The eight trigrams were created as a representation of the ten thousand things in the universe. Yet, they still cannot cover everything. So, what is not covered, is in the center. Go to the center to find what you cannot find elsewhere. Go to the center to be “totally covered”, go to the center to create peace. Adjust the center.

A special note about performing Black Sect Feng Shu cures: envision that you are at the juncture between heaven and earth and thus will receive universal Ch’i to help you overcome all your obstacles.

May peace be with you.

Feng Shui Fall Decor

“When everything looks like a magical oil painting, you know you are in Autumn!”– Mehmet Murat Ildan

Spring and summer aren’t the only colorful seasons. Autumn’s story is rich with glowing crimson and vibrant amber hues. Squashes, fruit and flowers possess their summer blaze well into November endowing us with the strength to retain our radiant selves in this season of letting go. If you cherish autumn’s abundance, the following fall decor will enrich your home and your senses while promising hope and good fortune.

Pumpkin
In the tapestry of fall, pumpkins are the prosperity bearer. Align with good fortune when pumpkins are lined up at your front door. Equally you can display them in arrangements at the inside entry. The Chinese believe this edible squash creates golden opportunities. In folkloric tradition, farmer’s wives would carve out the belly and place items in them to attract wealth. You may expect to increase your prosperity, abundance, your good luck from your ancestors, insure your children will have illustrious careers and acquire an enchanting life. This fruit will even draw up the earth energy to manifest gold.

Persimmon
Round, brilliant orange, the auspicious persimmon has the same pronunciation as the word for “matters, affairs or events and also for an “official”or “gentleman”. A persimmon shown together with an apple forms the rebus “may your matters be safe”. Also known as date-palms or Chinese figs, when placed along side a mandarine orange these fruits together symbolize the following sentiment…“May you have good fortune in all your undertakings.”

In Buddhism, they are symbols of transformation. Six persimmon fruits are symbols of enlightenment. The symbolism reveals that green persimmons are acrid and bitter in their immature state, they represent ignorance. As the fruit matures, it becomes sweet and represents wisdom that comes after transformation.

Pomegranate
Pomegranates represent fertility but for the holidays their usefulness can bring happiness to the family as well as good luck for your descendants. Display pomegranates in a table arrangement either at the front entry or the dining room table. If you like the pomegranate’s color and shape, display it as art in your home to attract these qualities year round.

Orange
Filled with intriguing homonyms the Chinese language is a good romp with words. The meaning of the orange connects them with abundance. Orange is called chéngzi in Chinese which sounds like gold, (jin) and represents wealth. Place a bowl of nine oranges on your dining room table or design them into a centerpiece for Thanksgiving. They will incubate money ch’i.

Chrysanthemum
Enhance your Feng Shui Fall Decor with mums. White chrysanthemums represent nobility and elegance and attract good luck to the home and a life of ease. It is revered like the orchid, bamboo and plum. Displaying chrysanthemums in home lifts the Ch’i of, not only individuals, but families and communities too. If you want to cure for wealth, put together a flower arrangement with a lotus, chrysanthemum and plum blossom plus the peony. Together these symbolize “peace and fortune in the four seasons.”

Narcissus
Flowers are a direct path to enhancing your feelings and elevating your sense of well-being. Placing them where they are visible in your home calms the nervous system. This can carry over to your work place creating a frame of mind for happiness and enthusiasm. Narcissus is known as the “water goddess”. At Chinese New Year they bring good luck and good fortune. During other festivities such as Thanksgiving they enliven your Ch’i through the sense of smell.

I am deeply grateful for your presence and participation with Feng Shui. Sending you heartfelt wishes for a season that is bright and joyful. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Sun Moon Good Fortune Feng Shui

“Yeah we all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun.”
– John Lennon

Mid morning walks in August are invigorating. I point my feet south and start absorbing all the sights and sounds that make this life technicolor brilliant. It’s also a potent time to observe the heavenly bodies. The Sun and the Moon share the same sky (it’s also an early evening phenomena later in the moon’s lunation). I couldn’t be more “over the moon” because in Chinese Feng Shui this celestial pairing has two meanings. It can be a good sign for the collective or a personal gift that a positive shift is coming. If you’ve been staying home and staying safe that’s a wise decision but I wouldn’t want you to miss your shining moment in your career or your relationship. The timing is perfect to illuminate your projects and manifest good things.

Rainbows, colorful clouds, hail, lunar halos, shooting stars, sun moon in the sky at the same time, all of these can have consequential actions for us. In his workshops Professor Lin’s would teach, “Climate and natural phenomena have an effect on humans, both their physiology and psychology.” When the sun and the moon are visible during the day, it is a sign that the country (or area) will see great progress. If you see the sun moon during the day, it’s a personal advancement. Here’s what you may experience.
• Increased intelligence is available.
• Improved lifestyle; good things will happen for you.
• Advanced placement in your career.
• Purchase real estate for a good return or enhance your family relationships.
• Book a ticket or tune up your car for a trip.
• Begin a book.
• Make an investment.
• Declare a wish.
• All good things will happen genuinely. Actually if you do not see the sun and the moon it will still have positive effects. This auspicious phenomena can influence making a lucky investment. If you do see both (the sun and the moon) the gain may be more particular to you.

A secret within a secret
Catch the moment when you see the sun moon at the same time. Envisage the light of the sun and moon shining upon your children, your home, your office. Imagine the light shining upon a new project, a business deal, or upcoming event. See the blessings plentiful.
Warning: Do not hesitate. It must be split second timing. Focus on one thing otherwise the good fortune from this ritual will be diminished.
