Live Your Dream In 2018

“The greatest gift you were given was the gift of your imagination. Within your magical inner realm is the capacity to have all your wishes fulfilled.”
– Dr. Wayne Dyer

I want you to attain your dream in 2018. With these few days remaining it’s a perfect time to close the days with gratitude and start the new year with one wish. Write down your dream on a beautiful piece of paper. Add color, stickers, make a drawing, paste a cartoon, use your creativity and imagination. Or it can simply be the words but most of all let it be fun. When it’s the way you want, place it where you will engage with it everyday. It could be the bathroom mirror as you get ready in the morning; the breakfast nook where you read the paper and drink coffee; the garage wall when you come home after work; or the night stand before you go to sleep. When you read your words, touch them too, feel your body smile and let your mind expand into the possibility of this wish as you conjure corresponding mental images. Give the ritual your heart/mind attention for 27 days (multiple of nine, the number of completion and peak accomplishment). Let me know what happens!

My dream is to talk about the importance of our homes. And it’s happening! I would love for you to join me, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 for a live interview conducted by All Business Media FM. Feng Shui Cures To Recalibrate After The Storm

“You have no silver linings without a cloud.”
– Angela Carter

Harvey’s devastating blow to Houston. Irma’s ferocious pounding upon the islands and Florida, raging fires in the west have left us feeling vulnerable, toppled and tested by the forces of Nature. Now we are being asked to further tap into our reserves, pull up our sleeves to clear the debris and pull out our handkerchiefs to wipe away our children’s tears.

But there is a silver lining after a storm – resilience. But it takes time, time to pause, reflect and to feel into what to do next.

I have a Feng Shui bag with a deep pocket for times like these. It empowers the spirit and smooths the Ch’i. It contains Feng Shui cures–rituals–that support your psyche, restores your faith and reawakens your confidence. For performing ceremony or placing a cure is the pause between action and non-action. It creates a focal point to help you tap into your reserve and recalibrate your energy, enabling you to stand on solid ground again.

Adjust your home.
Invite Auspicious Ch’i.
If the front door is rarely opened, the Ch’i of the house will be unhealthy. This is the point of entry for human Ch’i, wealth Ch’i, health Ch’i, spiritual Ch’i and all types of Ch’i. Let the auspicious Ch’i flow in. If you do not open the door but enter through the garage, for 27 consecutive days, nine times a day, open the front door. You are reawakening the Ch’i.

Take Command.
Place the master bed in the command position. If the bed is not in command of the bedroom door there may be a sense of danger, lack of opportunity, anger, mood swings, anxiety, headaches, restless sleep and heart trouble.

Calm your mind.
Begin the healing by activating the center of the bedroom or the center of the house. Hang a 40mm or 50mm faceted crystal from the ceiling in the center of the room.

Adjust Your Ch’i
Exhaustion. Gather Energy. Beat the Heavenly Drum
Rub your hands together with sincerity nine times, creating warmth in your palms. Cover your ears with your palms. Your fingers will meet at the back of your head (at the occiput, the ridge). Put your forefinger on the top of your middle finger on each hand and slide the the forefinger quickly down onto the head. It creates a thump or snap (like beating a drum). Repeat eight more times for a total of nine time. This exercise may give you more mental alertness.

Panic Attack. Release Agitation. Inhale Exhale Breathing Exercise
(red envelopes requested)

Insomnia. Transform The Inner Dialogue. Tapping The Head
In those times when you cannot catch your breath, your heart is racing or you have trouble sleeping. Use all ten fingers and tap on the head, 108 times. You can begin at the forehead and go to the base of the neck or visa versa. If your worry persists, you can tap 324 times (three sets of 108 times). It draws restricted Ch’i from your inner brain cavity to the outer skull and out to atmosphere to be released.

Worry. Invite The Aid of Helpful People.
Reduce worry in your life by adjusting the Helpful People in corner of your lot, or home or bedroom. Benefactors and mentors are ‘those who make life easier’.

Not Thinking Clearly. Cultivate Clarity.
At the front door wire the electrical so automatically a bright light comes on or a clear sound is heard.

Making time to pause the Ch’i will rise to meet you. The strength of this yin yang relationship creates the space for rock solid stability and ample mental acuity to deal with your past and confidently envision the direction your life is meant to go.

Remembering Mother And A Moment of Love

“We are born of love, love is our mother.”
–Rumi

At what moment did your mom endow you with grace? For me I was in 7th grade. My skirt zipper broke and as my skirt made its descent to the floor, up rose the color in my face. I called Mom to help me. She came with love and safety pens. Presentable again, I kissed her and said how much it meant to me. Though the safety pens eased me into my skirt, it was her coming to my rescue that eased my distress. Feeling loved and in tact, I walked back into the class room with my head held high. At the end of her life she reminded me of this story. I was so touched that this awkward moment for me had such a profound effect on her, it took my breath away. She said with a smile of endearment, “It felt good to help you, darling.” It was a special moment for her, in the school bathroom helping her daughter.

Motheris the essence of love. It was through her openness, patience, yielding and responsiveness that you were conceived. In the nine months that her belly grew round and large so did her dream of you. These same qualities shape the womb of your dreams. They are the pre-requisites that direct your intuition and inspiration to influence outward events, allowing synchronicity to validate your pathway. Mother is there when you make your first sandcastle, write your essay and paint your watercolor. In adulthood it is the memory of this love that could help you dare to do all sorts of things.

Motherin the home is in the far right corner of your house. In the I-Ching it is called K’un. The English translation is The Receptive. In the Bagua this area represents Relationship. If you desire a fulfilling connection with your mother or sisters; wish to build a container of good health for your organs or find a partner, then initiate change in this yielding place. A sacred object here reflects both stillness (yin) and the creative (yang). The complement of energies will birth your dreams.

Mother–lover, creator, nurturer–is the model for all of your relationships. Honor her struggles, forgive her transgressions, appreciate she did the best that she could, understand she gave you what time she had and you will find the world an easier place to live. Be receptive to these ideas like the moon that reflects the sun, and you will move forward with a new sense of ease and power.

Because your Mother is generally the first one to come to your rescue, I want to share this cure with you.
Worried About Someone Cure
When we love someone they are in our thoughts, we want to see them happy, protected and free. Mothers, in particular, have concern for their children. If your child is planning his or her first sleep over with a friend, if they are away at college or married with their own children, you may wonder if they are doing alright. There may be something more serious like an illness or your child expresses they aren’t adjusting to their situation. Whatever their age, relationship or situation, there is something you can do be ease your mind and help. Using this cure, you can hold the person in your heart and see him or her well, strong, safe and protected. You are binding auspicious ch’i to their body.

Materials:
Red ribbon (or thread), 6”, 9” or 18”; Scissors

Procedure:
Place the ribbon under your mattress for nine nights. On the tenth day, cut the ribbon in half. Give one half to the person about whom you are worried. If necessary mail it and tell them what you are doing. However, they do not have to know about the cure. You can sew the ribbon into a piece of clothing that you send as a gift, or simply wrap the gift with the ribbon. Remember, your intention needs to be pure if you make this decision on your own. The person must simply accept the ribbon (even if he or she does not know about the cure). If the person does know, he or she may be willing to place it under the pillow or mattress, or carry it all the time. Place the second half of the ribbon either under your pillow or your mattress, or carry it with you all the time. Reinforce with a prayer of intention visualize their protection and safety. If you feel a moment of worry, take the ribbon out and wrap it around the finger that is associated with the person about whom you are concerned.

Some examples: If you are worried about your child who is away at school, wrap the ribbon around your little finger. Loosen it, and wrap it again around the little finger. Do this for a total of nine times. Visualize your child safe and well. If you are worried about your husband, wrap the ribbon around your ring finger then loosen and wrap eight more times for a total of nine times. Visualize him safe and well, and perhaps thinking of you. If you are worried about your mother, wrap the ribbon around your thumb, and repeat the process outlined above.

 Happy Mother’s Day!

March 27 New Moon. Summoning Magic!

“Stop playing small. You are divinity in motion.”
– Deepak Chopra

Each season has its brand of magic. Spring’s is the alchemy of advancing hidden potential as its relentless new growth awakens humans and creatures to the vital symphony that animates all of existence. It is no wonder that March 27 new moon a powerful creature has stepped on the Zodiac horizon. A mythical hydra that can summon the waters of heaven. A divine being that inspires awe, emanates benevolence and accomplishes great deeds. Enter the Dragon. A risk taker by nature, the legendary Dragon is unwaveringly honest, doesn’t flinch at challenges and will do what it takes to accomplish their mission.

If your dream has stalled due to unforeseen circumstances or just plain procrastination, emulate Dragon’s magic – turn your fear into invincibility and fire up your passion. Make these your dual-charged super powers. Find a mountain and give over time for contemplating the leafing of spring and the power of the rock on which you rest. Allow these moments of reverie with Dragon (his symbols) to inspire you to imagine flying the skies and lassoing your rainbow down to grounded success.

Chinese dragons don’t breathe fire, they summon the rain. Invite the vast cosmos to rain its secrets on you. Rat: your bad luck has blown away with the March winds. This month fortune is turning in your favor! Seize good opportunities to start a business, make an investment, purchase real estate, get married and/or travel afar. On the romantic side, if you are in a relationship you may expect a closer step to the aisle, even discuss getting married. Rabbit: lots of confrontation for you this month, sweet Rabbit. There are inauspicious stars so be mindful and be careful not to be falsely accused or framed. Keep your eyes peeled on potential money loss. Not a good time to make investments, relocate, change jobs or relocate. Exercise patience. Dragon: be conservative with investments and signing contracts so you won’t be robbed of your assets. If you have a minor illness, go to the doctor right away. Do one good deed daily and you will be rewarded for averting bad luck. Snake: this month your luck will fluctuate. This month will be a mix of worry and joyousness. Avoid confrontations at work. Men, be advised to stay away from casinos or nightclubs with hostesses. Horse: the light is shining throughout the clouds. Relationships between men and woman should be approached logically. Exert caution when choosing a partner or you might find yourself in a predicament from which you cannot extricate yourself. Ram: luck of the month is mutually offensive. If you get wrapped up with scoundrels they could cause you financial loss. Do not gossip or have verbal disputes. Best that you remain calm for the next 28 days. Monkey: it’s an auspicious three harmony luck month. Joyous events surrounds you, perhaps a newborn will be added to your extended family. If your work record has been combinable, you may receive a promotion. Good job, Monkey!  Rooster: the luck of the month is auspicious. Resources and helpful people are coming in left and right. Be cautious however when you enter into a business or partnership – be selective on all accounts. Dog: the luck of this month is not so good. You may be feeling some anxiety, health problems, even some financial loss and worry. Give yourself breathing space, exhaustion figures heavily. Pig: you are in luck so keep a check on how you invest and spend your money. Refrain from being greedy. Create a health regime that supports your energy. Don’t take anything at face value or believe what is on the internet. New Year’s, Start With A Tiger In Your Tank!

“It is your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.”
Tony Robbins

Strong willed and confident, the Tiger isn’t one to stop and smell the roses, quite the opposite, energetic and determined, they are skilled in persistence that helps them stand out as leaders. A frank personality and willing to speak their truth, they gain others’ trust readily, both personally and in the public arena.

The Year of the Fire Rooster provides fertile ground for Tiger to expand their career territory. With the blessing of many stars luck will unfold and be smooth. There will be joyous celebrations in the household. However Tiger needs to be aware of one unlucky star that may take them into the court room with lawsuits and legal entanglements. Best to start the year right with an abundance of good deeds to offset any unpropitious energy the zodiac may cast.

Every year at the Chinese Lunar New Year, the Tiger leaps with one powerful bound onto the Zodiac horizon. Tiger can offer its determination and indomitable strength to help you persevere as you find your momentum. But if you can’t find your traction, call on this big cat’s super power of persistence to see you through a project, devise an agenda, develop a strategy or devote passion to your dream. You cannot miss when you have a tiger in your tank.

The sky is vast with an abundance of stars to help you navigate the many possibilities available, find out what the galaxy has in store for you in this month of the Tiger. Rat: building your merits will pay off in good results. Considering performing a good deed a day. Do not be a guarantor nor walk alone at night. Be industrious and you can build a promising career and future. Ox: your fortune is highlighted and you will have strong wealth luck. Fame and profit will be on the forefront. You may feel anxious but take a calm attitude. Tackle your problems only as they arrive. Tiger: there is ease with your career with many favorable opportunities coming your way. Be cautious of accidents. If you travel aboard, perform “Walking On The Red Carpet” cure before as you leave your home. Rabbit: Chinese Lunar New Year is in the same month so participate in all the festivities. Seize the opportunity to host a big celebration in your home. If you travel, search for favorable opportunities. Dragon: seize good career opportunities. Travel with family (like a trip to Mexico) and relax. Don’t quibble. There is a saying, “Prosperity derives from harmonious families.” Snake: luck of the month is Mutually Offensive. Be cautious and be patient. You might suffer minor financial loss so pay close attention to expenditures. Beware of robbery. When having health issues do not hesitate to seek medical advice. Horse: the start of the year all things are refreshed. Earnestly plan for your career and life matters. Limit your social activities and beware of your health. Turn your attention to creating happiness and harmony within your home. Spend more time communicating with your niece. Ram: as the new year begins, write out your annual plan and execute it by adhering to well a established agenda. Look at what is realistic and idealistic and choose the former. In the area of romance take it slow to keep the good connection flowing. Monkey: the luck of the month is not smooth but you can turn this around by performing the BTB Feng Shui  “The Golden Cicada Sheds Its Shell” secret cure on Chinese New Year’s eve. Exercise caution in everything you do and think thrice (“Swallow Your Saliva” nine times) before you take action. Rooster: this month do not venture into affairs. Maintain the status quo. Cut back on traveling and social activities. Exercise what is good for your physical and mental well-being. Focus on relaxation to eliminate worries. Do not brood over what you have no control of. Dog: everything is new and fresh. Keep the home fires and social interpersonal relationships on a even keel by performing the BTB Chinese New Year ceremonies, “The Golden Cicada Sheds Its Shell”; “Welcoming The Wealth God” and ”Changing The Ch’i Of The House…” to insure good luck for the year. Pig: your luck is favorable but your ideas may run out of steam towards the end of the lunar month. “Clearly understand your limitations and do what you can.” Do not run your energy down with doing too much which brings on anxiety and stress.

If you request a cure from this forecast, I will ask you to honor the red envelope tradition. Have a great month, Zodiac friends!

Natural Remedies To Drive The Cold Winter Away

“Don’t think the garden loses its ecstasy in Winter. It’s quiet but the roots are down there riotous.”
Rumi

Nature is a pharmacy of natural remedies. It may seem counter to our modern sensibilities of running at top speed that the wet, dark slow cold is Winter’s cure. But conserving our life force brings a more robust Spring. Wintertide supports extended periods of rest and rebuilding your reserves. Imagine the hawthorne submerging its energy into its roots; the gestating acorn dreaming of becoming the mighty oak; the bear huddling in its cave, breathing an imperceptible but rhythmic breath. It is a time when your physical strength and psyche are succored by your ancestors’ wisdom. For those of us in the northern hemisphere the weather may be cold this time of year, but for all of us worldwide, we can put to good use these five forbearers’ customs that bring in good cheer.

Create A Circle Of Harmony. Celtic custom: Our entry protects us from the outside so what we place on our door is important. A wreath blesses, unites and insures harmony. A circle is a key feature of a wreath, it suggests inclusion and encloses that which is sacred and our homes are our sacred space. Winter Solstice and Christmas evergreen wreaths cast a field of vitality that protects us during the cold winter months. Look forward to escaping to a holiday instead of setting an appointment with a doctor.

Bring Life To The Dark. Viking custom: Pine, spruce and firs represented eternal life because they remained green throughout the year. Boughs were hung above doorways and over windows as a reminder of the bountiful crop ahead and to ward off ghosts, witches, evil spirits and illness. Evergreens adorned homes on the Winter Solstice, primarily in the belief that the sun, made sick by winter, would be restored to good health at the solstice being both the shortest day and longest night of the year.

Foot note: 25 -30 million real Christmas trees are sold and discarded in the United States every year. When an acre of trees are cut down, the daily oxygen needed for 18 people is destroyed. If you put up a live tree consider one of the following: rent a living tree that is delivered to your doorstep in a pot. Or plant a tree in your yard and on Christmas you can gather around the tree and celebrate with hot cider and songs. (resource from Raeanne Rubenstein)

Decorate With A Splash of Red! Chinese custom: Outside or at the inside of the front door, don’t forget a splash of red. It means happiness and auspiciousness. Its radiance is a heart/mind protector and it dispels negative Ch’i. And who will know but you that you are keeping your home safe and out of harm’s way.

Cleanse With Citrus. Chinese custom: Purchase nine oranges (or lemons). Cut nine round circles from the zest for a total of 81 circles. Break them down with your fingers onto a plate. Take the plate and walk to the front door, then begin clockwise or counterclockwise walking the interior perimeter of your home casting the peels using the “planting seeds mudra”. This space clearing cleanses your home of unwanted energy. Where lemons calm, lighten and refresh, oranges are auspicious and bring good fortune. Leave them one day, three or nine days. And if you are looking to tame your cat, the peels will keep your fur baby at bay.  I am again offering the Chinese Lunar New Year Ceremonies where you can purchase the complete version of this ceremony (see below).

Hyggelig Your Holidays. Norwegian custom: Hygge is a Norwegian word for “well-being”. It is believed to have made the cold and dark winters more tolerable. Hygge (get cozy) is about spending quality time with no agenda. It’s about warmth, humor and being connected. It’s about spending time alone and with family. Remember if you get out your to-do list, it will vanish.  Next time you are with friends, throw into the conversation “this is hyggelig,” and see if you don’t get a smile. (source PBS Newshour)

Ritual celebrations help us link to the past. It strengthens our ties and builds our Ch’i. Celebrations are necessary for society and for the individual–for they are about cultural identity, life transitions and personal discovery. The Chinese believe they form a spiritual protection against unseen forces. Creating stability leads to success and prosperity.

My mission is to help you strengthen your Ch’i. I have put together “Three Lucky Feng Shui Secret Traditions Packet”+ Two Bonus Cures and the Three Secret Reinforcements (body, mind, speech) to amplify your intentions. $27 + nine red envelopes. Please remit with your payment + nine red envelopes by January 19, 2017 to receive “Three Lucky Feng Shui Secret Traditions Packet”+ Two Bonus Cures ceremonies to you before Chinese Lunar New Year”s Eve.

Wishing you supreme abundance and infinite joy for now and the coming year!

“Busy Making Plans” Become Priceless Surprises

“Life happens when you are busy making plans.”
John Lennon

My “busy making plans” was to write a space blessing blog. But this was abruptly tabled last Wednesday when in high density traffic my car was rear ended. The explosion of breaking glass and the helpless feeling that my car was out of my control served to intensify the fear that it was moving without my volition, straight towards an unsuspecting Nissan directly in our path. I say our path, my little Shih Tzu, Coco was my passenger. Moments like these wipe out the sparkle of a friend’s laughter just hours before and the dinner I was cooking in my head. Time eerily stood still. No past. No future. Just the pounding in my ears and the slow motion of my brain trying to comprehend the whirlwind around me while my body ached for safety. By God’s grace it stopped. When the smoke cleared and the damage assessed, the cost was apparent: irreparable automobile loss. The upside, no life was lost: priceless.

Accidents have an uncanny way of rattling your routine. But beyond their inconvenience, powerful truths can emerge like the phoenix rising from the ash. Inside this blog I share “five graces” that have deepened my appreciation for life plus I am passing along two life-saving “Driving Safely Cure” you will definitely want to protect your car.

Detour from plans that keep you busy, slow down. My “busy making plans” for the evening: eat dinner, connect on Facebook and write. But the force of two cars colliding changed all of that. The impact wasn’t just metal crushing metal, this collision impacted my consciousness too. Since the accident I have become acutely aware of another force, a spiritual force of healing I have not felt in this way before. What has arisen is a force of forgiveness and deep gratitude that all involved are here to laugh and hug our loved ones again.

Watch for grace, even when circumstances appear unfavorable. Val stopped her car behind the driver who caused the accident. She may have had plans that evening but her heart told her this was where she needed to be. She kept the other driver company amid the wind and din of traffic. She took him to the hospital after his car was towed and said she would return for me if I needed her. Her compassion lessened the strain of our ordeal.

Expect there is love for you when life explodes into chaos. All of us are doing our best. The outpouring of care and concern and love and advice from family and friends has greatly eased the emotional trauma of this unfortunate occurrence.

Pray for what you want, not for what you see. I would never wish for an accident. And despite the material loss of time and personal transportation, those are incidental to the big picture of what an accident teaches – letting go. If you can let go of controlling the outcome and let your prayers be the standard for what you want, what you see will be the best possible outcome.

Take the high road, even though your circumstances have turned upside down. Throughout this ordeal I have come to appreciate how systems work and the people who serve those systems. I’ve learned the efficiency of our municipal processes in emergency situations and how insurance companies get our lives back on track. And most important I continually am reminded of my attitude and how it influences all of this coming together easily (or not). I attribute this to the philosophy of alignment, Feng Shui.

I am deeply grateful to H. H. Lin Yun for his supreme wisdom for extending Feng Shui beyond the four walls of our home. The “Driving Safely Cures”I perform on every car I have owned. These cures cast a field of protection in and around my automobile. In my heart I know their power prevented an extended trip to the hospital and much worse, a casualty. I want you to receive this protection too! Here are two “Driving Safely Cures” I used on my automobile.

Driving Safely Cure no. 1: Red String on the Steering Wheel
What you need:
9 inches of red string or red ribbon (or a multiple of nine inches)
Procedure:
Place the string under the mattress for nine nights. On the day after the ninth night, tie the string to the steering wheel. Say a prayer from your tradition and visualize the car and its occupants are safe.

Driving Safely Cure no. 2: Crystal Ball
What you need:
1 faceted lead crystal ball, 40mm
9 inches of red ribbon or red string (or a multiple of nine inches)
Procedure: Using a piece of red ribbon or string (cut in a multiple of nine inches), hang a crystal ball from the rear view mirror. Say a prayer from your tradition and visualize that the crystal ball is both absorbing and reflecting the light of Buddha and/or all the auspicious light in the universe. Visualize that the car and its occupants are safe.

If you wish to obtain the rest of “The Driving Safely Cures”, please contact me.

Postscript: Coco and I are doing all right. We have been to the vet and the doctor and receiving treatment.

October 30 New Moon I When Pigs Fly…

When pigs fly (indeed they might this new moon)…
People will treat you the way you treat them.
You will never be judged by appearances.
You will never be take for granted.
Your heart will never be broken again.
People will know what you have been through.

When you fly…
None of those things will matter.
Spread your own wings and soar!

October 30 new moon the unassuming Pig quietly takes the Zodiac stage. Pig is the last of the Chinese Zodiac animals but the first animal to consistently practice self love. Honest, calm, discerning, fair, tolerant and kind, they are loyal to their friends. They have a strong interior grasp of life and the people around them so they can be in the company of family and peers yet spend time alone. Their self love, their self worth, enables them to remain patient and persevere when times become difficult.

With the radiant summer sun a memory and the fruitful autumn harvest behind us, winter can bring a cold chill to our hearts. During this time call upon Pig’s reliable sense of self love to warm and sustain you during the dim, frosty months. This super power is a potent reserve that will lift your emotions from fear and bring you the resolve to stand firm when you feel judged, endure a broken heart and carry on if you have been treated unfairly. With self love you can lift yourself out of despair and soar.

Feng Shui Breakthrough To Happiness

“Happiness is the highest form of health.”
H.H. The Dalai Lama

Grace contacted me in the early spring of this year, she shared that an intuitive friend suggested she have a Feng Shui consultation. “Current issues in the house may have impacted my health and changes could support regaining my energy.” We talked and she revealed that the previous owners had divorced and the husband had died of cancer. Grace shared about herself that she has always been an optimistic woman and loves to decorate her homes. She had made cosmetic changes to her current house, painted the walls, refinished the floors, updated the kitchen, landscaped the yard but she couldn’t shake the uneasiness of vertigo that left her with poor balance, extreme fatigue, depression and not feeling in her body. When I came to the consultation she disclosed her western doctor wanted to perform exploratory surgery on her left breast. She was not happy about it.

Even before I walked in the door, the lot diagram and the floor plan told me a person living here, unless they had an exceedingly strong constitution, would encounter a health crisis. In the Chinese language  “4” sounds like death and the street numbers contained a 4. She had removed the master bathroom door that was connected to the master bedroom thus creating an “empty door” and her digestive issues flared. After a series of vertigo attacks she sought the help of an ND who advised her to make diet changes to address the dizziness. The head of her bed backed up to the stove which adversely affects the physical health of the brain. The corner of a wall from the home office to the hallway creates a “split view” and can create illness along the midline, confusion and the inability to make decisions. Grace’s gut was the key to addressing the vertigo but feeling like herself was taking longer than she wanted and she was feeling depressed. Many doors in a small space create digestive issues. There were at least five markers in her home that suggested her conditions and for her it became a health crisis. The final note: Grace had a painting in the center, the Health gua, that is visible upon entering the house. The composition and color mirrored the grief, distress and hopelessness that was overshadowing her life. By the time she called me she was ready to listen to her “gut” and change her situation. She embraced the cures with humor and courage and here is what she wrote three months later.

“Just wanting you to know how delighted I am as I make my way through the house with the cures. It’s taking time, but it seems to be working. Last weekend I was on the coast and bought a big splurge painting — haven’t done this in 40 years literally! When I brought it home, I was not just needing to remove the painting you suggested should not be in my entry but to rip almost everything off the walls — like a crazy woman, so different from the typical me. I was totally compelled to do this in such a strong and irresistable way that I couldn’t believe it. All this to say it feels so light and open from inside my chest. The new painting is a wonder to me, all movement and joy (impressionistic wave) with lovely light colors. I simply feel lifted every time I look at it. So this house is getting little facelifts and cures left and right in a kind of claiming it that is deeper than ever before. There’s more to do, but I’m pecking away at it.

Oh, did I mention that I feel 100% better. I have a Chinese practitioner and a new naturopath, and what they’ve done has been phenomenal, but I consider the house energies, the Feng Shui, being free to circulate as they should a huge contributor to my improved health. So, once again, thank you!!”

If you are experiencing health issues, I want you to have the opportunity to change that around. Here is one of my favorite cures handed down from H.H. Lin Yun. Hang a 50mm crystal from a red cord in the center of the bedroom. It has a clarifying effect on your mind. It is helpful if your bed is not in a good placement in the bedroom. In particular it will help your health. Visualize you maintain good health and if a problem arises you receive an intuitive message before anything serious arises.

The seen and the unseen are both relevant to your home, your choices and your sense of peace. Give equal value to influence of each one and your life will seek its level of balance.

For Back-To-School Success, Begin With Your Child’s Bedroom Design.

The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows.
–Sydney Harris

You want what is best for your child. Your child dreams of being happy. Let your child’s genius out with good Feng Shui design. It helps them gain a positive outlook, develop a curious intellect and build self-confidence. By nurturing these beneficial habits of character you fulfill both your dream and theirs. In truth, Feng Shui is fundamental, insomuch that it creates a favorable environment for your child to go back-to-school feeling focused, cheerful and enthusiastic.

Where to begin.
Your child’s bedroom is their personal realm to sleep, study, play, entertain their friends and discover who they are. Because they spend a good portion of their time here, creating a meaningful and personal arrangement will help them access their talents and enjoy a positive school year experience.

What to arrange.
Placement of your child’s bed influences their ability to wake up clear headed and start on the right foot. “Command position” places the bed in the opposite diagonal corner to the bedroom door with the door in clear sight. This key concept allows for an overall view of the space and gives your son or daughter a sense of control. This arrangement nurtures relaxation and feeling safe and protected.

Quite often overlooked but very important is the space under the bed. Ch’i needs to circulate. A bed on the ground conducts yin Ch’i and the potential for unexplained illness to occur.

If you have a designated area for your child’s study time and their desk faces a wall, their back is to the door. This shifts their attention to what is going on behind rather than on the homework in front of them. The distraction can be remedied by placing a clear, one piece, framed mirror on the wall in front of their desk. It will give them a sense of focus. This mirror placement also expands the space and reflects back self assurance. Oh and be sure when the light goes out for bed the computer is covered.

Why keep the space in front of the bed clear?
The space in front of your child’s bed represents their future and should be deep. Remove tall footboards, chests, chairs or couch. This establishes, at an early age, trust that the future is bright and promising. Keep this area clear as much as possible.

Which colors work best.
If you want your child to feel calm yet energized, light blues and greens and are soothing, restful colors. Green specifically stimulates growth, health and focus. Your child can look at green for a long time and not get eye strain. Blue emits a sense of well-being. It cools down energy. If your child is unable to settled down before going to bed or they are prone to feeling frustrated or angry, paint the walls soft blue or add accents in their room. Earth tones too help your child’s emotions come to rest if they experience mood swings.

How to encourage a positive outlook.
Electronics are an inevitable part of modern living but they can be minimized and they should be because long exposure to a young, developing brain can affect a good night’s sleep and create mental stress plus nerve damage that leads to more serious consequences. A distance of four feet reduces the effect of harmful EMF energy (electromagnetic field). If you want to be completely electronic free you can purchase a kill switch that turns off all electronic devices.

Assign a space for child’s achievements by hanging up their awards and certificates where they are easily visible and can be enjoyed. Admire their artwork with them. Place a poster board where it will be seen upon entering the room for your child to pin their artwork, display their cherished posters and photos with friends from favorite events.

Poison arrows are corners and angles that point at your child when they enter the room, study at their desk or sleep in bed. They are stress producers. They can bring up feelings of being criticized. A faceted crystal will soften a sharp corner. Should the corner of their desk be directed at your son’s or daughter’s head while he is sleeping, you can place a scarf on it or a trailing plant. A philodendron is a good solution. In addition to modifying the effect, you teach your child responsibility in plant care with regular waterings and feeding.

When you change your child’s bedroom design.
You’ll receive A+ for your efforts when you see the look of radiance and enthusiasm in your child’s eyes when they excitedly tell you, “I want to go back and learn more.” Ring the bell! A genius sprouted, a dream come true.
